My article on Green Bay’s Chef Christopher Mangless just hit in the September/October issue of Catersource magazine. Here’s a link.
I hadn’t realized this piece had run until the check showed up today! Fun little trip!
In central Iowa, en route to the B&B where my husband and I had planned to stay, we received word: closed immediately due to emergency
Hayward & Cable, WI are just 3 hours away from the Twin Cities and super fun places to visit. Hope to head back soon!! @travelWI
@mytravelingbar has found the drinks for summer @spoonriver in @minneapolis. Elderflower martini & a Stone Arch Sling!
We had a lovely and relaxing stay at the White Lace Inn, a charming B&B in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the first town you hit on the Door County peninsula. Breakfasts were terrific, accommodations very nice, not the typical musty and cluttered look so many B&Bs take on. Clean and elegant.
Ten photos cannot capture the fun we had at the fish boil at Waterfront Mary’s in Sturgeon Bay, WI in Door County. You must experience this place—it’s the best!!
Had great fun taking a Segway tour of the city of Sturgeon Bay with our guide, Josh and new friend, Yuri. Acclimating to a Segway is easy-peasy (tho Yuri hopped a curb and nearly did a wheely at one point…he’ll do anything for a good photo!).
A nice morning with Paul Regnier of Door County Tours, looking for birds—and boy did we see them! Too many to name but Scarlet Tanager, Blue Green Gnatcatcher and pintails were highlights!
Dinner at Inn at Cedar Crossing was spectacular. Cherry glazed BBQ ribs, deep dish cherry pie, a cherry martini, and a sweet brandy old fashioned, more! Such a lovely place with B&B rooms for rent & morning buns that take three days to prepare (croissant dough, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon) SO GOOD.
